Skyroot Aerospace successfully launched its Vikram-1 rocket from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota as part of Mission Agaman. Developed entirely with indigenous technology, Vikram-1 became India's first privately built orbital rocket and successfully carried four small satellites with a combined payload of 350 kilograms into orbit. Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh witnessed the historic launch along with his son Devansh.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the scientists of ISRO and Skyroot Aerospace for the landmark achievement. Speaking with the team over the phone, he said he had also watched the launch and described the mission as a proud moment for India's growing private space sector. He added that the success reflected years of dedicated effort by Skyroot Aerospace and would inspire young innovators across the country.
