India Can Guide the World Through Global Challenges - Mohan Bhagwat

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said India’s spiritual and philosophical traditions can contribute to addressing several challenges confronting the world. Speaking at the 14th All India Vihar Seva conference in Mumbai, he said the world is grappling with competing demands involving development and environmental protection, individual freedom and family life, as well as religious faith and conflict.

Bhagwat highlighted India’s knowledge traditions, including the Vedas, Upanishads, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavad Gita, Jain Agamas, Tripitaka, Guru Granth Sahib and the teachings of saints. He said India had historically shared its knowledge without seeking to conquer other countries or convert their populations. He also described dharma and the nation as interconnected and said both should be taken forward together.
