INDIA Bloc MPs’ Lunch Meet in Delhi

INDIA bloc MPs held a lunch meeting in Delhi under the leadership of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi. Following the meeting, INDIA bloc leaders were preparing to proceed to Rajghat. In view of the proposed visit, a large number of security personnel were deployed near the hotel where the leaders were staying. Police were reportedly prepared to prevent the leaders from leaving the hotel.

Security was also tightened at Rajghat, where the INDIA bloc leaders were expected to go. Authorities imposed Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) in the area as a precautionary measure. Police made additional security arrangements along routes leading to Rajghat and continued to monitor the situation to prevent any untoward incident.
