As summer temperatures rise, the demand for ice creams and fruit juices has increased sharply. However, serious allegations are emerging from areas such as Saidabad, Champapet, Santosh Nagar, Yakutpura, Malakpet, and Chaderghat in Hyderabad. Locals claim that expired ice creams are being relabeled with new dates and sold again, while rotten fruits are reportedly being used to prepare juices mixed with artificial colors, flavors, and excess sugar.
Medical experts warn that consuming such contaminated food items can cause vomiting, diarrhea, stomach infections, and severe food poisoning. They also caution that long-term consumption of low-quality dairy products and chemically treated juices may damage the liver and kidneys. Citizens are demanding strict inspections by food safety authorities and severe action against traders selling expired and unsafe food products.
