I Will Continue My Protest from the Hospital - Wangchuk

Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk has announced that he will continue his protest, alleging police action against the "Chalo Parliament" march called by the Kakroach Janata Party. In a handwritten statement shared by his wife Geetanjali on X, Wangchuk demanded that the party's youth leaders either be allowed to meet Members of Parliament inside Parliament or be permitted to meet him at the hospital. He said the police action against a peaceful protest deeply disturbed him.

Earlier, Wangchuk had written to the Safdarjung Hospital Superintendent requesting temporary discharge to participate in the march to Parliament. Meanwhile, Kakroach Janata Party leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Renkal met Union Minister J.P. Nadda and submitted a list of their demands. The Delhi High Court has sought a medical report on Wangchuk's condition at Safdarjung Hospital, while a petition filed by his wife seeking his transfer to a private hospital for better treatment is scheduled to be heard on Tuesday.
