Hyderabad Woman Chases Hollywood Dream with an Oscar in Sight

Rajarajeswari Ragampudi, originally from Hyderabad and now based in Los Angeles, transformed her passion for architecture into a successful career in Hollywood production design. Despite having no film background and facing health issues, the pandemic, and repeated discouragement, she pursued higher studies at the American Film Institute and steadily built her career through dedication and continuous learning.

She has worked as a production designer for more than 15 international short films, several documentaries, music videos, and commercials. Her work has earned recognition from filmmakers across the globe, leading to her selection for the prestigious Women in Film Fellowship. Rajarajeswari says her ultimate dream is to win an Oscar and inspire Indian women to believe they can succeed anywhere in the world.
