Hyderabad commuters will face a major traffic change around KBR Park from August 18, with the traffic police introducing a one-way system in view of ongoing underpass and flyover construction works. The arrangement will remain in force until the infrastructure works are completed. The traffic police have already completed the required road arrangements for implementing the new system. Similar one-way trial runs were conducted earlier to assess traffic movement and identify bottlenecks.
Under the new arrangement, traffic will be regulated through the roads surrounding KBR Park, with designated two-lane stretches allowing movement in a single direction. Traffic movement from Jubilee Hills Check Post towards Punjagutta will be regulated as part of the new system. Police have advised commuters to plan their journeys in advance and consider alternative routes to avoid inconvenience. Emergency service vehicles will be given necessary exemptions. Arrangements have also been made to facilitate safe road crossings for KBR Park walkers, while motorists have been instructed not to park vehicles along the roads. The one-way system is aimed at maintaining smoother traffic flow during the construction period.
