Hyderabad: Tension at Deputy CM’s Chamber in Secretariat

Tension prevailed at the Telangana Secretariat in Hyderabad after retired employees and contractors staged a protest near Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka’s chamber. The protesters alleged that their bills had remained pending for years and expressed anger over not being allowed to meet the Deputy Chief Minister. They demanded an opportunity to explain their grievances directly to Bhatti.

The retired employees and contractors reportedly insisted that they would not leave the premises until an appointment with the Deputy Chief Minister was arranged. The situation led to a verbal exchange between the protesters and police personnel, who attempted to manage the gathering. Pending bills and retirement-related dues have been a recurring issue raised by Telangana employees and pensioners in recent protests.
