Hyderabad Supplies a Key Component for Apache Helicopters

Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited has achieved another significant milestone in the global defence sector. The company announced the successful production of the 400th fuselage for the AH-64E Apache attack helicopter at its advanced manufacturing facility in Hyderabad. Tata Advanced Systems Limited and Boeing jointly established TBAL, which operates a state-of-the-art facility spread across 52,000 square metres in Hyderabad. More than 750 engineers and technical professionals work at the plant, manufacturing Apache fuselage aerostructures using advanced robotics and automation technologies.

The fuselages manufactured in Hyderabad are supplied to customers globally. They are used in Apache helicopters operated by the US Army and were also fitted on the six Apache helicopters delivered to the Indian Army in 2025. The Indian Air Force currently operates 22 AH-64E Apache helicopters. With around 1,300 Apache helicopters being operated across 19 countries worldwide, the Hyderabad facility has emerged as an important part of the global Apache supply chain.
