Several student groups and civil society organisations staged a protest in Hyderabad over the alleged NEET question paper leak and the reported lathi-charge on students protesting in Delhi. At a solidarity meeting held at the Hyderabad Press Club, participants demanded accountability from Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and called on the Central Government to explain the handling of the incidents. They described the Delhi episode as a violation of human rights and sought appropriate action.
The event was attended by retired IAS officer Aakunuri Murali, academicians, social activists, representatives of various organisations, and nearly 300 students. Following the meeting, participants marched to the Ambedkar statue near the Secretariat, raising slogans and expressing solidarity with the students protesting in Delhi. Organisers also announced a two-day hunger strike at Indira Park in the coming days.
