The BRICS Trade Union Summit 2026 will commence in Hyderabad on July 14 and continue until July 16 under India's BRICS Presidency. Organized by the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), the summit will host nearly 110 delegates representing 14 countries, including BRICS member nations and partner countries. The event serves as a key platform for discussing labour welfare, employment policies, and international cooperation.
India has identified four priority themes for the summit: Social Security for All, Skills for the Future World of Work, Women and the Future of Work, and Human-Centric Technology & Artificial Intelligence. As part of the summit, BMS will also organize a grand Workers Confluence on July 14, bringing together around 1,500 workers from government, public, private, social security, and unorganized sectors. Delegates from all 14 participating countries will receive a ceremonial welcome.
