Hyderabad Airport User Fee to Change from September 1

User Development Fee (UDF) charges at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport will undergo a major revision from September 1, 2026. The new tariff, approved by the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India (AERA), will be applicable until March 31, 2031. Under the revised structure, UDF for departing domestic passengers will come down from ₹750 to ₹515, while the international passenger fee will be reduced from ₹1,500 to ₹1,030. At the same time, arriving passengers will be brought under the UDF system for the first time, with charges of ₹220 for domestic passengers and ₹440 for international passengers. The fee will be included in air tickets.

The tariff will be revised annually during the five-year period. Charges for departing domestic passengers will rise from ₹515 initially to ₹555 in 2027-28, ₹620 in 2028-29 and ₹670 during April-October 2029, before the baseline fee falls to ₹415 from November 2029. Arriving domestic passenger charges will move from ₹220 to ₹240, ₹265 and ₹285 before dropping to ₹175 in November 2029. International arriving and departing charges will also undergo periodic revisions. Additional fees linked to the Northern Runway and Northern Precinct developments will be imposed only after the new infrastructure becomes operational. The Northern Precinct is expected to include a new terminal capable of handling an additional two crore passengers annually.
