Horrific Road Accident in Suryapet: Private Bus Rams into Stationary Container

A horrific road accident took place near Dorakunta on the outskirts of Kodad mandal in Suryapet district. A private travels bus travelling from Hyderabad towards Eluru reportedly rammed into a container lorry that was parked on the roadside. Six passengers lost their lives at the spot, while several others sustained serious injuries. According to preliminary information, more than 40 passengers were travelling on the bus at the time of the accident.

Following the accident, police and rescue teams rushed to the spot and launched relief operations. The injured passengers were shifted to Kodad Government Hospital for treatment, with some reportedly in critical condition. The accident caused disruption on the Hyderabad–Vijayawada National Highway for some time, while authorities worked to clear the damaged vehicles and restore traffic. Police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.
