A controversy erupted at Success School in Saidabad, Hyderabad, after allegations surfaced that a second-grade Hindu student was given homework related to reading the Quran. The student's parents questioned the school management, while members of Hindu organisations staged a protest outside the school. Police intervened and detained some protesters to maintain law and order.
Following the incident, the school management announced that the concerned teacher had been suspended and clarified that no religious instruction would be imparted in the school. Officials from the Education Department visited the institution, inspected the matter, and reviewed the statement given by the student's father as part of their inquiry.
