

In a historic moment for India’s space sector, the Vikram-1 rocket developed by Skyroot Aerospace was successfully launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre under Mission Agaman. This marks India’s first private orbital rocket launch, setting a new benchmark for the country’s growing space capabilities and private sector participation in advanced technology.
The Vikram-1 rocket carried four small satellites weighing a total of 350 kilograms into orbit, showcasing the strength of India’s deep-tech ambitions. Minister Nara Lokesh witnessed the launch along with his son Devansh and celebrated the success. The achievement is being seen as a major milestone in boosting innovation and strengthening India’s position in the global space industry.
