The Andhra Pradesh government has taken a key decision regarding the adulterated ghee issue in Tirupati. The government issued orders constituting a high level committee to take further action based on the report submitted by the previously appointed single member commission. The Chief Secretary has been appointed as the chairman of the committee, while the Director General of Police and the Law Secretary will serve as members.
The committee will examine the implementation of the recommendations made by the single-member commission, administrative disciplinary action against those responsible, and recommendations for legal criminal proceedings. It has also been asked to propose a time bound implementation plan and a monitoring mechanism for effective execution of government decisions. The government directed the committee to submit its report within a week.
