The High Court has issued interim orders restricting the publication of content that could damage the reputation of Medicover Hospitals. It also directed that previously published reports should not be republished. The orders came during a hearing on a petition filed by Sahahrudaya Healthcare Private Limited, which operates Medicover Hospitals.
The court observed that reports published by Manne Krishank, Harish Reddy, Shankar Goud and the concerned media organisations appeared to be defamatory. The restrictions will remain in force until the hearing is completed and further orders are issued, or until the respondents present their arguments. The hospital group told the court that unverified allegations were being circulated against it on digital platforms.
