The High Court on Wednesday heard a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the disappearance of Saikrishna. During the hearing, the Advocate General informed the court that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has already been constituted with senior police officials to investigate the case. He assured the bench that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure a fair and thorough investigation.
The Advocate General further stated that CI Nagaraju, who has been named as an accused in the case, has been arrested and will be produced before the court. Responding to the submissions, the bench remarked that it would wait and observe the developments in the investigation. The court subsequently adjourned the matter to July 6 for further hearing.
