A heavy traffic jam was reported on the Warangal–Hyderabad National Highway on Sunday. Vehicles were stranded for several kilometres near the Bibinagar Guduru toll plaza, causing severe inconvenience to motorists travelling towards Hyderabad. Traffic volume increased due to the Sunday holiday and the return of people to the city after visiting their native places for Bonalu and other local festivities.
Traffic was also heavy on the Hyderabad–Vijayawada highway as people returned to Hyderabad after the Raksha Bandhan holidays. Vehicles were moving slowly in areas such as Chityala and Choutuppal due to ongoing flyover construction and road repair works. Motorists have urged the authorities to regulate traffic efficiently and ease congestion on the busy routes.
