Heavy Traffic Jam on Hyderabad–Vijayawada Highway

Heavy traffic congestion was reported on National Highway-65 connecting Hyderabad and Vijayawada. Traffic movement was severely affected in the Choutuppal mandal area of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district due to ongoing road repair and expansion works. Vehicles were diverted to a one-way stretch from Thoopranpet Stage to Borralagudem, resulting in traffic queues extending for nearly 10 kilometres on both sides. Heavy congestion was also reported on the Vijayawada–Hyderabad route between Koilagudem and Borralagudem.

Road expansion works in Choutuppal municipal limits have caused frequent disruptions to traffic movement, leaving motorists facing considerable inconvenience. With Dussehra celebrations expected to bring a further increase in vehicular movement tomorrow, commuters are concerned about the possibility of worsening congestion. Motorists have urged authorities to take special measures to regulate traffic and ensure smoother movement during the festival rush.
