Heavy Rush at Tirumala: Long Queues for Lord Venkateswara Darshan

Tirumala is witnessing a significant rush of devotees seeking darshan of Lord Venkateswara. With the weekend drawing large crowds, all compartments of the Vaikuntham queue complex are reportedly packed, while queues outside the complex have extended up to the Octopus Circle. The heavy inflow has also resulted in long vehicle queues near the Alipiri toll gate. According to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), devotees are currently facing an estimated waiting time of around 24 hours for free Sarva Darshan, nine hours for SSD token holders and about seven hours for ₹300 Special Entry Darshan.

On Saturday, 90,293 devotees reportedly had darshan of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala. As many as 53,090 devotees offered their hair as part of their vows. TTD officials said the Hundi collection stood at ₹3.81 crore. Devotees also purchased around 4.60 lakh Tirumala laddus, while approximately three lakh people received Anna Prasadam. With the weekend rush continuing, authorities are managing the queues and vehicle movement to facilitate devotees’ darshan and pilgrimage.
