Heavy Rains Due to Depression Impact.. Telangana on Alert

The severe depression that has been affecting weather conditions in the region is moving towards Chhattisgarh and Odisha after crossing the coast. Its influence is expected to continue over parts of the Telugu states, with moderate to heavy rainfall likely in several areas during the next 24 hours. Weather conditions may remain unsettled in areas receiving the system’s influence.

In Telangana, rainfall intensity has reduced compared with the previous day, although isolated heavy showers and gusty winds are still possible. An yellow alert has been issued for Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem and Khammam districts. Winds may reach speeds of 30–40 kmph in parts of the state, prompting residents and authorities to remain cautious.
