The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) said that the well-marked low-pressure area over the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining north Odisha–West Bengal coast continues to influence weather conditions. As a result, cloudy skies and light rainfall are expected in several parts of the state.
APSDMA Managing Director Prakhar Jain said isolated heavy rainfall is likely on Sunday. Light to moderate rain is expected in parts of Alluri Sitharama Raju and Polavaram districts, while scattered light showers may occur in other districts. Gusty winds of 40–50 kmph are also likely, and people have been advised to avoid standing under trees and near large hoardings during thunderstorms.
