Harish Rao Slams Government Over Sada Bainama Issues

BRS leader Harish Rao has accused the Telangana government of collecting fees from farmers under the Sada Bainama regularisation process while delaying the issuance of passbooks. Referring to the difficulties faced by farmers in the Makthal constituency, Rao criticised the government and questioned the prolonged delay in updating land records online. He claimed that farmers had been charged between Rs 23,000 and Rs 26,000 per acre, but their land details were still not reflected online even after several months.

Rao alleged that farmers were being sent from MRO and RDO offices to offices citing technical issues with the Bhu Bharati portal and lack of clear instructions. He said the absence of passbooks and online records was affecting access to benefits such as Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima, besides creating difficulties in obtaining fertilisers and selling crops. He demanded immediate resolution of pending applications, issuance of passbooks to all eligible farmers who had paid the required fees, and compensation or restoration of benefits for those who suffered losses due to the delays.
