

T. Harish Rao called for the reunification of Telangana supporters and urged people to recognize and respect those who worked tirelessly for the formation of a separate Telangana state. During his personal visit to the United States, Harish Rao attended a gathering of Telangana supporters held in Long Island, New York, at the residence of prominent NRI Laxman Enugu. A large number of Telangana residents from New York and New Jersey participated in the event. Harish Rao praised noted NRI businessman Dr. Pailla Mallareddy for his contribution toward providing employment and business opportunities to Telugu people settled in the United States.
Speaking at the meeting, Harish Rao recalled the support extended by NRIs during the Telangana movement and acknowledged the role played by several overseas Telangana activists who contributed their time, energy, and financial resources for the statehood cause. Participants at the event informed him that some Telangana activists felt neglected and dissatisfied after the formation of the state. Harish Rao emphasized the need for another phase of reunification among Telangana supporters and appealed to NRIs in America to continue supporting Bharat Rashtra Samithi in its fight for Telangana’s interests. He also lauded Laxman Enugu for promoting Telangana culture in the United States through events and by introducing Telangana poets, artists, and leaders to the NRI community.
