

The Indian Army has released a notification inviting online applications from eligible unmarried women candidates for the NCC Special Entry Scheme 125th Course, scheduled to commence in April 2027. A total of six vacancies will be filled under the Short Service Commission (Non-Technical), including five posts for NCC women candidates and one post for wards of Army personnel battle casualties. Interested candidates can submit their applications online starting from July 21, 2026.
Applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree and should have served in the NCC Senior Division or Wing as per the prescribed duration. Additionally, candidates must possess a minimum ‘B’ grade in the NCC ‘C’ certificate examination. Final-year degree students are also eligible to apply. The age limit is between 19 and 25 years as of January 1, 2027. The selection process includes shortlisting, SSB interview, medical examination, and document verification, with no written test. Selected candidates will undergo 49 weeks of training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, with a monthly stipend of ₹56,100. Upon successful completion, candidates will be commissioned as Lieutenants in the Indian Army.
