The Sharannavaratri festivities at Sri Boyakonda Gangamma Temple near Punganur were celebrated with great devotion and grandeur. On the eighth day of the celebrations, Goddess Gangamma appeared in her Mahishasura Mardini form, drawing devotees who gathered to seek her blessings. The temple premises resonated with Vedic chants as priests performed Ganapati, Navagraha and Chandi homams as part of the religious rituals.
The devotees and donors who participated in the goddess’s special alankara seva were honoured under the supervision of temple Executive Officer and Assistant Commissioner Ekambaram. The temple authorities presented them with traditional honours, the goddess’s prasadam, sacred garments and mementos in recognition of their participation. The celebrations reflected the devotion of the pilgrims and the spiritual significance of the annual Sharannavaratri festivities at the temple.
