

Telangana Minister for Forests, Environment and Endowments Konda Surekha has directed officials to make elaborate arrangements for the Ashada Bonalu festival at the Ujjaini Sri Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad. She said the festival reflects Telangana's rich spiritual and cultural heritage and instructed all departments to work in coordination to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience for the lakhs of devotees expected to attend. Special facilities have been ordered for children, pregnant women, lactating mothers, senior citizens, persons with disabilities and Shivasattulu offering Bonalu.
During a preparatory review meeting at the temple, the minister appreciated Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's allocation of ₹20 crore for this year's Bonalu celebrations. She instructed officials to improve VIP and VVIP darshan management based on previous experiences and ensure proper arrangements for security, sanitation, drinking water, medical assistance and crowd management so that the festival is conducted in a grand and well-organised manner.
