The Telangana government will release the first phase of Rythu Bharosa financial assistance to farmers on March 22. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will launch the fund distribution from Narmetta in Siddipet district. Before announcing the release, the Chief Minister held a meeting with Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, and senior officials to review the arrangements for transferring the funds to farmers.
In the first phase, around ₹3,590 crore will be deposited into the bank accounts of nearly 70 lakh farmers, covering up to one acre under the Rythu Bharosa scheme. The second phase of assistance, amounting to ₹2,650 crore, will be released after about 20 days. The government plans to complete the third phase by the end of April, with nearly ₹9,000 crore being transferred to farmers’ accounts in three phases.
