Government Services Without Office Visits - Chandrababu Pushes Digital Governance

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to leverage technologies such as AI assistants, Digi Verify, data lakes and blockchain to make online government services easier for citizens. He said people should be able to access services without having to visit government offices. During a review meeting at the RTGS office in the Secretariat, the Chief Minister asked officials to simplify data entry for the 1,204 services being offered through WhatsApp governance platform Mana Mitra and enable data integration so that citizens would not have to upload certificates separately.

Chandrababu also reviewed agriculture, drinking water and public health measures. He directed officials to ensure adequate irrigation for standing crops and promote alternative crops instead of paddy in areas where cultivation has not yet begun. Farmers should receive timely crop-alert messages, with officials monitoring follow-up action, he said. Officials informed him that Godavari water could be supplied to the Krishna Delta through Pattiseema until the end of September. They also reported that dengue cases had declined from 1,361 during the corresponding period last year to 401 this year.
