

The Telangana Government has granted administrative approval of ₹7,345.12 crore for the Musi Riverfront Development Project. The project will be implemented across the priority corridors of Zone-1A and Zone-1B, covering 9.20 km from Himayat Sagar to Bapu Ghat and 11.80 km from Osman Sagar to Bapu Ghat. In total, riverfront development works will be undertaken across a 21-km priority stretch.
Excluding land acquisition costs, the project will be executed at an estimated cost of ₹7,345.12 crore. Of this, ₹4,500 crore will be funded through a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), while the remaining ₹2,845.12 crore will be arranged through HMDA and TGIIC. The project will be executed under the EPC model, with government approval also granted for appointing a Project Management Consultant (PMC). Procurement will follow ADB guidelines, and the government has directed MRDCL to initiate further implementation.
