The State Government has responded swiftly to reports about Bhaghyavathi, a woman from Thondavada village in Chandragiri mandal of Tirupati district, who is facing difficulties in Kuwait. Following media reports, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to take immediate steps to ensure her safe return to India.
Bhaghyavathi had travelled to Kuwait in February for employment as a domestic worker but allegedly faced issues due to negligence by agents. Reports of harassment prompted her to inform her family through a selfie video. The government, in coordination with the Indian Embassy in Kuwait, has initiated urgent measures to bring her back safely and is also considering action against those responsible.
