Good News for Singareni Workers

Singareni management has announced a Diwali bonus of ₹1,10,250 per worker ahead of the festive season, bringing cheer to thousands of employees. The decision follows discussions held in Kolkata between Coal India management and trade union representatives. The bonus is intended to recognise workers’ contributions and is expected to benefit a large number of Singareni employees.

Across Coal India, a total of 196,753 non-executive employees are set to receive the bonus. Former employees who retired between April 1, 2025, and March 30, 2026, will also receive a bonus of ₹8,351. Last year, the Diwali bonus was ₹1,05,000, meaning the amount has increased by ₹5,250 this year. Representatives of Singareni management, general managers and leaders of national trade unions attended the meeting.
