The Andhra Pradesh government has given key assurances to its employees, with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu responding positively to demands for the constitution of a new Pay Revision Commission (PRC) and resolution of other long-pending issues. The Chief Minister held discussions with representatives of employee associations on various concerns affecting government staff.
Speaking after the meeting, Andhra Pradesh Government Employees Association president Suryanarayana said the Chief Minister assured them of action on several issues. These include the PRC, two pending Dearness Allowance (DA) instalments, one surrender leave, an additional surrender leave for police personnel, an additional quantum of pension for retirees, and monthly payment of EHS dues to the trust on the first of every month. Suryanarayana said the association sought a positive approach towards employees. He added that Chandrababu had sought some more time on Interim Relief (IR) in view of the state's financial position.
