Godavari Pushkaralu to See Massive Preparations

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said the Congress government is committed to protecting and developing ancient temples across the state and will organise the 2027 Godavari Pushkaralu on a grand scale. On Monday, he performed the bhoomi puja for the reconstruction of the Ugra Narasimha Swamy temple at the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy shrine in Dharmapuri, Jagitial district, along with Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar and Endowments Commissioner Hanumanth Rao.

Bhatti said steps were being taken to develop prominent temples from Basara to Bhadrachalam as part of the Pushkaralu preparations and provide necessary infrastructure for devotees. The state has allocated ₹1,000 crore for the overall works, while ₹200 crore has been earmarked for the development of the Dharmapuri and Kotilingala shrines in the Dharmapuri constituency. He said the temple development works would be completed before the Pushkaralu begin. Foundation stones were also laid for the construction of Godavari bathing ghats and development works at Dharmapuri and Kotilingala.
