Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has strongly defended the government's decision to promote E20 ethanol-blended fuel, alleging that a misinformation campaign is being carried out on social media to mislead the public. He urged citizens not to believe unverified posts or rumours and reiterated that ethanol-blended fuel is an important step toward reducing fuel imports, enhancing energy security, and promoting cleaner transportation.
Gadkari also dismissed allegations involving his son Nikhil Gadkari's company, describing them as completely baseless. He warned that strict legal action, including defamation cases, would be initiated against those spreading false information. His remarks have intensified the ongoing debate surrounding ethanol-blended fuel, social media misinformation, and India's biofuel policy.
