Gadkari Debunks Myths About E20 Petrol

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has firmly dismissed viral social media claims suggesting that E20 petrol attracts ants because it contains sugarcane and is “sweet.” Responding to the rumours, Gadkari clarified that ethanol is a form of alcohol and not something that would attract ants, rejecting the claims as completely baseless.

He explained that if such logic were true, ants would gather around alcoholic beverages like whisky or rum as well. “Whisky, rum, and ethanol are all forms of alcohol. The claims being made are entirely incorrect,” he said. His remarks come amid the spread of misleading videos online, prompting many to urge users to verify facts before sharing information on social media.
