The investigation into the Gachibowli Anjaiah Nagar building incident has gained momentum following the arrest of builder Sajid Khan by Raidurgam police. Authorities are examining his construction activities across the Cyberabad region and are focusing on several buildings allegedly constructed without following the required regulations.
Officials have reportedly found that many structures linked to Sajid were constructed illegally. It is alleged that multiple floors were built on small plots and the buildings were later operated as hostels. HYDRAA has now turned its attention towards these unauthorised structures.
HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath has stated that several complaints have been received against Sajid. Authorities are also investigating the alleged role of town planning officials who may have supported or ignored the unauthorised constructions.
Sajid reportedly started his career as a mechanic before entering the construction business and allegedly accumulated significant wealth through illegal constructions. The ongoing investigation is expected to establish the extent of the alleged illegal construction network and the role of officials who may have assisted him.
