Rescue and relief operations are continuing in Hyderabad’s Gachibowli following the collapse of a seven-storey building that reportedly left two people dead. Heavy rain overnight has made it difficult for rescue teams to clear the debris, causing delays in the ongoing operation. Authorities are working to remove the rubble safely while assessing the stability of the remaining structure.
Officials are also making arrangements to demolish the Jayadarshi Apartments building, with the demolition potentially taking place today. Police have launched a search for Sajid, who is alleged to have constructed the seven-storey building on a 40-square-yard plot. Authorities are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the construction and collapse as rescue and safety operations continue.
