From Technology to Irrigation - My Priorities Have Changed, Says Chandrababu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu reiterated that resolving people’s problems, improving their livelihoods, creating a better future for every family in the state and ensuring that the benefits of development reach everyone remain his core objectives. A report published by ThePrint describing Naidu’s shift from technology-focused governance to irrigation was shared by its founder, Shekhar Gupta, on ‘X’. The report analysed Naidu’s efforts to move away from his earlier ‘CEO CM’ image and strengthen the TDP’s support base in rural areas.

Responding to the report, Naidu said that during the 1990s he had built a technology-driven system in response to the changing economy, with the creation of new employment opportunities being his priority at the time. He said his focus now is on achieving the long-pending goal of providing irrigation water to the tail-end areas, something farmers have been waiting for for decades. Naidu thanked ThePrint and Shekhar Gupta for documenting his journey as Chief Minister and reiterated that addressing public concerns, improving livelihoods and ensuring inclusive development remain his guiding principles.
