From IT Professional to Rapido Driver: Bengaluru Woman Chooses Independence

A Bengaluru woman’s journey from an IT job to driving an auto for Rapido has caught attention on social media. According to a viral video, her life changed after her father’s sudden death, which left her mother alone at home. Working night shifts became difficult as she wanted to stay with and support her mother. She eventually left her IT job and chose auto driving as an alternative career. Although her family initially opposed the decision, she remained determined to pursue a profession that allowed her greater control over her time.

The woman later shared her experience with content creator Tanvi, who travelled in her auto and discovered her background during their conversation. Despite her corporate experience and fluent English, the woman said she was comfortable with her new profession and claimed that she earns more from driving the auto than she did in IT. She also said the flexible schedule allows her to spend more time with her mother. Tanvi subsequently shared their conversation on Instagram, praising the woman for choosing independence over social expectations. The video has since attracted more than three lakh views and received positive reactions from many users.
