Following the recent peace agreement between the United States and Iran, shipping activities through the Strait of Hormuz had largely returned to normal. Several vessels, including Indian ships, have been using the route without major disruptions. Reports indicate that around 30 more Indian vessels are expected to pass through the strategic waterway.
However, international media reports claim that Iran allegedly targeted a Singapore flagged vessel in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran had earlier warned that action could be taken against ships that do not comply with its directives. The United States has not officially commented on the incident and has not confirmed the reported attack. Further details about the incident are still awaited.
