Free Travel for Women on AC Buses Too, Says CM Chandrababu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced that women will be eligible for free travel in the AC buses that are set to be introduced across the state. Addressing a public meeting in Mogalthuru, he said the government is planning to significantly expand and modernise the public transport system. The move is aimed at providing more comfortable and modern travel options to passengers while extending the existing benefit for women to AC services as well.

The Chief Minister also said that electric buses would be introduced soon as part of the government’s efforts to promote cleaner and modern transportation. He emphasised that women should also come forward to work as drivers for the new electric buses. The announcement is expected to provide women with greater access to public transport while also creating new opportunities for women in the transport sector.
