Four Arrested in Tamil Nadu Bribery Case

Tamil Nadu politics witnessed fresh controversy after four people were arrested in Chennai for allegedly attempting to bribe a TVK MLA with ₹35 crore. According to police, the money was allegedly offered to influence the legislator to vote against a proposed no-confidence motion targeting the Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker. The case has triggered intense political debate across the state.

In an official press release, the police named former DMK Minister V. Senthil Balaji and his brother Ashok Kumar in connection with the investigation. Authorities said the probe is ongoing to determine the roles of all those involved, while further legal action will depend on the outcome of the investigation.
