Former IAS officer appointed as new financial advisor to Karnataka CM

Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has appointed retired IAS officer L.K. Atheeq as his Financial Advisor. Atheeq, also known as Luthfulla Khan Atheeq, is a 1991 batch IAS officer from the Karnataka cadre with a distinguished administrative career spanning over 34 years.

He has played a key role in shaping major social and financial policies during his service. He has previously served as Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister of Karnataka, Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department, and also worked in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
