A Flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv was diverted to Saudi Arabia after a violent confrontation reportedly broke out between the pilots mid-air. Flight FZ1073, carrying around 180 passengers, transmitted emergency signals before landing safely at Tabuk Airport. Reports said one pilot was allegedly attacked with a knife, causing panic among passengers and a sudden loss of altitude. Other crew members and passengers reportedly intervened to bring the situation under control.
Israeli authorities initially feared a possible hijacking and are investigating the incident as a potential security threat. Some Israeli media reports have claimed that the captain was Indian and that he fought back against the co-pilot, helping prevent a more serious disaster. However, the captain's nationality and several other details remain unverified, with conflicting reports emerging about the pilots' nationalities and the circumstances behind the confrontation. Flydubai confirmed that all passengers were safe and that it was cooperating with the authorities.
