Heavy rains in the Godavari river basin have caused significant disruption near Ramayyapeta in Polavaram mandal of Eluru district, as the mud road leading to the Mahanandeeswara Swamy temple, located وسط the river, has been washed away. The rising floodwaters have made access to the temple difficult for devotees. The river has swelled due to continuous rainfall, impacting connectivity and raising concerns among local residents.
In a striking natural phenomenon, muddy floodwaters have turned reddish and are flowing in front of the Veereswara Swamy temple with Bhadrakali at Pattiseema. Meanwhile, another stream flowing from the rear side of the temple retains its usual bluish color. These two differently colored streams merge near Gutala, creating a rare and visually captivating two-toned flow of the Godavari river.
