Heavy rains caused flash floods and landslides across the border districts of Poonch and Rajouri in Jammu & Kashmir, leaving at least 12 people dead. Nine deaths were reported in Poonch and three in Rajouri, while several people remain missing. Rescue teams, including the Army, police, and local authorities, are continuing search operations in the affected areas.
The disaster damaged more than 130 houses, 18 schools, vehicles, and agricultural land, while disrupting water supply and mobile connectivity in several villages.
