

Five additional judges of the Andhra Pradesh High Court have been sworn in as permanent judges. Justice Kuncham Maheswara Rao, Justice Thoota Chandra Dhanasekhar (TCD Sekhar), Justice Challa Gunaranjan, Justice Avadhanam Hariharanatha Sharma and Justice Dr. Yadavalli Lakshmana Rao took oath as permanent judges. The oath-taking ceremony was held on Monday at the First Court Hall of the Andhra Pradesh High Court in Amaravati, where Chief Justice Justice Lisa Gill administered the oath.
The permanent appointments of the five judges were approved by President Droupadi Murmu, following which the Union Ministry of Law and Justice issued an official notification. The swearing-in ceremony was subsequently conducted at the High Court. Other judges of the High Court, representatives of the Bar Council, members of the High Court Advocates’ Association, senior advocates, judicial officers, registrars, law department officials and other legal professionals attended the event and extended their best wishes to the newly appointed permanent judges.
