The first official image of India’s prestigious Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project has been unveiled by the Ministry of Railways in New Delhi. The high-speed train design, reportedly inspired by the shape of a bird, is currently drawing significant attention online.
Designed to operate at a speed of nearly 300 kmph, the bullet train is expected to drastically reduce travel time between Mumbai and Ahmedabad from over seven hours to just around two hours. The proposed train will feature eight coaches and cover 12 stations including Sabarmati, Surat, Vadodara, Thane, and Mumbai. The first 100-kilometre section between Surat and Bilimora is expected to be inaugurated on August 15 next year.
